To ensure your leather bag stays looking beautiful for years to come, follow these simple care tips:

1. Keep It Clean

• Regularly wipe your leather bag with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust and dirt.
• For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap (preferably one made for leather). Avoid soaking the leather.
• Let the bag air dry naturally, never use direct heat sources like radiators or hairdryers.

2. Condition Regularly

• Leather can dry out over time. Use a leather conditioner to keep it soft and supple. Apply sparingly and evenly with a clean cloth.
• For vegetable-tanned leather, conditioning every 3-6 months will help maintain its texture and prevent cracking.

3. Avoid Water Damage

• Leather is not waterproof. If your bag gets wet, gently blot it with a dry cloth to absorb the moisture and let it air dry.
• Do not place your leather bag on the floor, near windows, or in areas where it may get exposed to water.

4. Store Properly

• When not in use, store your leather bag in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause fading.
• Keep the bag stuffed with tissue paper or a dust bag to maintain its shape.
• If storing for an extended period, keep it away from plastic covers as they can trap moisture and cause mildew.

5. Handle With Care

• Always handle your leather bag gently. Avoid dragging it or placing heavy items inside that could stretch the leather.
• When carrying, use both handles or the strap to evenly distribute the weight.

6. Protect from Stains

• Leather can absorb oils, dyes, and other liquids. Avoid placing your bag on rough surfaces that could cause scratches or stains.
• If a stain occurs, clean it immediately with a damp cloth and mild soap, then condition the leather.

7. Replenish with Time

• Leather will naturally age and develop a patina that adds character. Embrace this change, but keep your bag in good condition by maintaining proper care.
